Wiebe van der Laan has over 19 years of professional experience across corporate finance, financial services and assurance. He spent a total of 12 years at PwC across two tenures, 9 years leading the Corporate Finance division in Cape Town during which he progressed to Partner/Director, advising on buy- and sell-side M&A, valuations, capital structuring and property sale & leaseback transactions, and 3 years in assurance in the financial services and banking industry.
In between, he served for 6 years at Stonehage Fleming in the family office division and ultimately as Director and Head of Corporate Finance, advising internationally wealthy families on private equity transaction execution, as well as strategic advisory to family-owned investment entities.
